Rouvant for businesses that run on Square

Keep Square for checkout. Rouvant uses the orders, menu and locations already in Square to run the rest: your website and online ordering, the kitchen display, recipe costing and reporting.

What Rouvant does with your Square data

One Square connection, four jobs

Website and online ordering

Your Square menu, locations and business hours sync to your Rouvant website automatically. Online orders are created as Square orders and paid through Square. They can earn and redeem rewards in your existing Square Loyalty program, and the site can sell Square e-gift cards. No Rouvant transaction fees. Websites →

Kitchen display

Square orders, including your website's online orders, appear on the Rouvant kitchen display in real time. Bump items or whole tickets, recall completed orders, and optionally text customers as their order moves along. KDS →

Menu-item costing

Map recipes to Square menu items and modifiers to see what each item costs to make, and compare the usage your sales imply with what your inventory counts show. Inventory →

Reporting

Square sales flow into the Rouvant data warehouse next to your other systems for metrics, dashboards and executive reporting. Intelligence →

Setup

How the connection works

  1. Add your Square access token and application ID in Rouvant settings.
  2. Create the Square webhook in your Square Developer dashboard. Rouvant can help with this step.
  3. Choose which locations appear on your website, and turn on online ordering per location.
  4. Add the modules you need. Each one is priced separately, with a discount for using several.

[Needs input: confirm whether Rouvant sets up the Square webhook for new customers, and how long setup usually takes.]

Good to know

What this integration is and isn't

  • Rouvant isn't a point of sale. Square stays your POS and payment processor.
  • Connecting takes a few manual steps today; there's no one-click Square sign-in.
  • Menu-item costing, variance and Square sales reporting need the Intelligence module ($149/month) in addition to Inventory.
  • Employee accounts are created in Rouvant. They aren't imported from Square.
