Inventory

Restaurant Inventory Management Software

Rouvant Inventory helps restaurants, cafes, and quick-service kitchens count stock, receive deliveries against your ordering list, and build recipes with real ingredient costs. Connect your Square sales to see what every menu item costs to make, and where actual usage drifts from what you sold.

$69 / month

How it works

From the count to the cost of every menu item

Count where the stock is

Staff count on the Rouvant mobile app or a shared kiosk device, by location. Set up your own count types for quick daily checks, and run a full inventory count when you need a true baseline.

Order and receive

Counts build an ordering list grouped by vendor, with estimated spend, that you can print and send your way. When the delivery arrives, receive it against that list.

Recipes with real costs

Build recipes with sub-recipes, batch yields and labor minutes. Ingredient costs keep their history, so recipe costs follow price changes.

Daily prep and transfers

Schedule daily prep tasks by day of the week, and move stock between locations with store transfers and printable delivery lists.

Menu-item cost and variance from Square sales

Map recipes to your Square menu items and modifiers to see each item's cost and margin. Then compare the usage your sales imply with what your counts actually show, anchored on your full counts. This uses Square sales from the Rouvant data warehouse, which comes with the Intelligence module.

Good to know

What Inventory does and doesn't do

  • Ordering lists are for your team to place orders. Rouvant doesn't send purchase orders to vendors.
  • Ingredient costs are entered and updated in Rouvant. They aren't read from vendor invoices.
  • Menu-item costing, modifier mapping and theoretical-vs-actual variance need Square sales in the data warehouse, which comes with the Intelligence module.

FAQ

Inventory questions

Is Inventory priced per location?
No. Inventory is a flat $69/month platform-wide. Only the people who use it as a Management Endpoint affect endpoint pricing.
Can my team count on a phone?

Yes. Counts run in the Rouvant mobile app or on a shared kiosk device, and each count is tied to a location.

Does Inventory work with Square?

Recipes can be mapped to Square menu items and modifiers for menu-item cost, margin and variance. That uses Square sales from the Rouvant data warehouse, which requires the Intelligence module. Counting, receiving, recipes and transfers work without it.

Does Rouvant send orders to my vendors?

No. Rouvant builds the ordering list from your counts, grouped by vendor, and you place the orders. Deliveries are then received against that list.
